- For making toffee, Put 1 tin sweet condensed milk [without opening can] in pressure cooker with enough water to cover the tin. Close the cooker and cook it for 1 whistle, then reduce the flame and cook for 30 – 40 minutes. Cool the condensed milk tin completely at room temperature before opening. Toffee ready..
- For dates cake layer : * In a bowl add dates (without seeds) and water and microwave until it become soft. * Take it out, add baking soda and mix well. * Add butter and combine well. * Add sugar, all purpose flour and baking powder. Mix well. * Add egg yolk and combine well. * Pour this mix into baking tray or pudding tray. Place it into a 200°C preheated oven for 10 minutes..
- For caramel sauce : * In a pan, add butter and sugar and caramelize it. * Add milk and fresh cream. Stir continuously and switch off the flame. * Add this sauce on top of baked dates cake. * Cool it and refrigerate it..
